Community Grant Awarded

Royston Town Council is pleased to announce the award of a grant to a local community organisation.

The grant of £500 is awarded to the Royston Indian Society for a Diwali festival, open to the whole community, to be held on 16th November from 5pm till 9pm at St Mary’s Hall, Royston. The society wishes to celebrate the rich cultural diversity of the town following the success of the previous Navratri/Garba festival held last year.

The Town Mayor, Councillor John Rees added: ‘It is great to see such an important festival being celebrated here in Royston and I look forward to taking part in the festivities’.
