Our Town Crier is retiring after more than 20 years of service, and we are looking for someone to take on the role. WANTED: A jovial individual with a loud voice to fill the boots of Royston's Town Crier who is retiring after more than twenty years opening fayres and markets, announcing events and introducing dignitaries. Not to mention the real purpose of a Town Crier which is to read out Royal Proclamations. There's a nice red uniform, a 200-year old bell and an annual honorarium. What more can anyone want?
