Funding applications from any organisations fostering a significant benefit for the people and community of Royston for a grant towards the setting up of a new project, capital scheme or help towards a special event or activity which will benefit the local community. Five grants were awarded for the period between April 1st 2024 to 31st March 2025 ranging from £250 to £500, with recipients including the Royston Speak Out Club, Home Start, and the Royston Arts Society.
Applications for this year's Mayors Community Trust Fund Awards are now open. Please follow the link for more information and an application form. Forms are also available from the Town Council office. Applications must be submitted by Friday 7th February 2025.
Community Grants
The Council wishes to encourage, support and promote volunteer organisations, clubs, groups and charities within Royston for the benefit of the Town.
The Grant Scheme is for grants of a value up to £500. Applications are considered four times per year in June, September, January and March at Full Council meetings.
The closing dates for this year are:
31st May 2024, 6th September 2024, 3rd January 2025 and 28th February 2025.

The Leete Charity Trust

Royston Town Council is the sole Trustee of The Leete Charity Trust and members serve on the committee to administer the fund. The Charity provide grants towards further education for students who live in Royston. Applications are considered three times per year with the closing dates for 2024-25 being the 16th September 2024, the 13th January 2025 and the 17th March 2025.

The Brian Leslie Racher Charitable Trust

The activities are to promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of the inhabitants of the parish boundaries of Royston and two miles from the parish St John the Baptist, Royston.

This is a local charity to help students at college and to give assistance to local poor. All applicants must be resident in Royston.
