Have your say on budget spending (2027-28)

Published: 29 October 2026

Hertfordshire County Council is inviting residents to take part in its budget survey for 2027/28. The county council spends around £1.5 billion each year on services that support Hertfordshire's 1.2 million residents, including children's and adults' social care, highways, and libraries. It is also investing £349 million in assets and infrastructure this financial year, including additional special school places, children's residential homes, nursing facilities and highways projects.
The survey gives residents the opportunity to share their views on:
• Which services should be prioritised for funding
• Where savings could be made
• Ideas for generating additional income
Residents' feedback will help inform budget decisions for 2027/28.
