The Royston Venue - Venue Manager
Location: Royston Town Hall, Royston
Salary: SCP24 £35,412 – SCP27 £38,220 (depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Royston Town Council is launching an exciting new chapter for the Town Hall with the relaunch of “The Royston Venue” – a community-led multi-arts venue designed to bring culture, entertainment and community activity to the heart of the town.

We are looking for a dynamic and organised Venue Manager to lead the day-to-day running and development of this exciting community space.

The Royston Venue will host a diverse programme of activities including:

• Film screenings
• Theatre productions
• Live music and performances
• Community classes and activities
• Exhibitions and talks
• Private and community events

As Venue Manager, you will oversee operations, manage bookings, support events, coordinate volunteers, and work with local organisations to build a vibrant programme that serves the community.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the daily operation of the venue and its facilities
• Coordinating events and ensuring smooth delivery
• Managing bookings and relationships with hirers
• Supporting marketing and audience development
• Recruiting and coordinating volunteers
• Working with technical contractors and event partners
• Helping grow attendance and maximise venue use

This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow a new cultural venue that will play a central role in Royston’s community life.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has the drive to launch and manage this exciting new community venue

• Is highly organised and able to coordinate multiple activities
• Has excellent communication and customer service skills
• Is enthusiastic about community engagement and local culture
• Can work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends
