Town Council Appoints New Chief Officer

Paul brings a dynamic, hands-on leadership style rooted in openness, collaboration, and accountability. A British Army veteran, former parish council chairman, and MBE recipient, he offers over 25 years of leadership experience spanning healthcare, local government, defence, corporate, and infrastructure sectors.

His career includes senior roles such as UK Operations Manager for OCS and HS2 Euston, counter-terrorism officer for the U.S. Department of Defense, and a close protection officer for high-profile clients including Sir Ian McKellen and Sir David Attenborough.

Recognised with an MBE for his outstanding work in Search & Rescue and his contributions to the London 2012 Olympics, Paul has received multiple national industry awards for excellence in leadership, safety, and operational delivery.

Beyond the professional sphere, Paul is a devoted husband and father of four, with a keen interest in music, he enjoys playing bass guitar and restoring and riding his 1965 Lambretta Silver Special.
