Royston Town Mayor 2025

Mayor Luke Haugh made the following acceptance speech at the Councils annual AGM;

"I am honoured to be elected Royston Town Council's Mayor for the next 12 months.

During my time as Mayor I hope to uphold Royston's core values of 'Hope, Care & Support.'

I feel that there is HOPE for young families and young professionals within Royston, because of our youth work and because of our towns successful market and independent businesses.

I feel there is CARE here, specifically with the Day Centre and the work they do. A hot meal and an activity provided for the seniors of the area on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. I have chosen them as my charity for the year, and I hope to help raise money to help with their expenses.

I feel there is SUPPORT here, from the councillors and the whole community.

I will do my very best as Mayor to support this town in return!
