Royston Town Council are very pleased to announce the award of a £500 grant to Make Lunch.

Make Lunch provide free, healthy, cooked meals to families in Royston who may struggle to provide them during the school holidays.

The grant will enable them to provide 3 additional sessions during the summer holidays.

The Town Mayor added “I’m delighted that Royston Town Council has awarded its first Community Grant to Make Lunch Royston. This is wonderful news and it will make such a difference as this charity is growing rapidly with new families. Its support to local children and their families with a hot meal and an opportunity to enjoy the company of others makes it an excellent place to be during the school holidays. The Town Council looks forward to helping more local voluntary organisations, clubs and charities and encourages them to apply.”
